Privacy Policy
We process the minimum data needed to organise your ride. No resale, no targeted advertising.
1. Data controller
ISB GROUP SRL (Belgian enterprise number 0741.760.186), Rue de Verdun 750/5, 1130 Brussels, Belgium, operating the RIDE.brussels service. For any question about your data: contact@ride.brussels.
2. Data we collect
- Through the booking form: name, phone number, email, pick-up and drop-off addresses, date/time, number of passengers, accessibility needs, free-text note.
- By phone, WhatsApp or email: the information you share with us to organise the ride.
- Anonymous audience measurement: cookieless site statistics without personal identification.
3. Purposes & legal basis
- Processing your booking request and contacting you back (pre-contractual measures / carriage contract).
- Answering your questions (legitimate interest in providing the service).
- Improving the website through anonymous statistics (legitimate interest).
We do not use your data for advertising and never sell it to anyone.
4. Processors & recipients
Your data may transit through the following technical providers, solely to run the service:
- Vercel Inc. (USA) — website hosting and anonymous statistics.
- Zoho Corporation (EU) — professional email (contact@ride.brussels).
- Mapbox Inc. (USA) — route calculation and address suggestions for estimates.
- Supabase (EU hosting) — dispatch database of the RIDE.brussels app.
- Twilio Inc. (USA) — telephone switchboard of our public number.
Transfers outside the European Union are governed by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
5. Retention
Booking requests are kept as long as needed to handle the ride and to meet our accounting/legal obligations (generally up to 7 years for accounting records in Belgium). Requests without follow-up are deleted within 12 months.
6. The RIDE.brussels mobile app
The RIDE.brussels app is an internal tool for our dispatch staff and partner drivers. For these professional users it processes:
- Account data: name, professional phone number, role.
- Driver location: collected only around service events (arrival at pick-up, start and end of a ride) to run dispatching — never continuous background tracking.
- Microphone: used only to answer switchboard calls inside the app, with the user's permission. Calls are not recorded.
- Push notifications: ride offers, switchboard events and operational alerts, with the user's permission.
Every user can delete their account directly in the app (Profile → Delete my account): personal data is anonymised immediately; ride records are kept anonymised for legal accounting purposes only.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability of your data.
To exercise them, write to contact@ride.brussels. We reply within one month.
You may also lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (APD/GBA): Rue de la Presse 35, 1000 Brussels — dataprotectionauthority.be.
8. Security
All exchanges with the site and the app are encrypted (HTTPS). Access to your data is limited to the people handling your ride.
